Whilst on holiday James came across this Byzantine mosaic design on the floor of a Turkish ruin and within it he could see the potential for a pendant that would become our first piece to be designed and manufactured by CAD-CAM.
When we have an image or sketch we can recreate that image within the CAD software. This enables us to produce a 3 dimensional design which can be turned through 360o on any axis.
After the model has been completed and checked for errors within a 1000th of a millimetre it is uploaded to the milling machine for a wax model to be created.
It can take a number of hours for the wax prototype to be machined depending on the complexity of the design. This gives a perfect model of what the finished article will look like. From here the wax will be "cast" into your chosen metal - silver, gold, platinum or paladium.
The piece is then finished and polished to give the finished article. As you can see the result is a very unique contemporary yet classic pendant.
